I do wonder, however, what makes Hershi so appealing to so many people. Is it the art? The character? The personality, the possibilities? I've adored him for a little more than three years now, so surely I've got the answer already, right?

In other news, it has been over a month since the re-creation and revamp of the site, along with most additions and updates. The past week and weekend I've had to deal with the renovations going on in the house, though because I had to clean through and pack up my things, I ended up finding a lot of loose sketches of Hershi. I put them away in my binder where I keep all of his sketches. It's getting kind of packed itself!

I'm sure to find more sketches and doodles scattered in boxes and other stray notebooks as I (now) unpack. Although, I wonder if I'd ever be able to finalize each and every one of them- by my last count, I had nearly 300 sketches to go. Now, with these additions, I can only imagine! In January of 2020 I had tried to clear out my backlog by using limited palettes and various styles as a challenge on 3 sketches every day. Suffice to say, it just led me to my current tendinitis problem.

Yowch!

Some more unfortunate things on my side at the moment- I don't have a chair for my table anymore, so I have to draw on my bed, and that hurts! I went to the hospital last Thursday, and that's when the doctor told me I had tendinitis in my arm (which is when I learned about it). I was prescribed medicine and recommended physical therapy, since I also had aches and pains in my neck and back. So art's unfortunately going to be very slow for the next while.

As things are now, I think I'll be spending a lot of time sketching rather than drawing on my computer. It's easier on me. I just hope I don't become fanatical and start another January 2020 out of frustration or excitement, but I'm confident I'll take it much easier than I did previously.

Back onto the site's situation, I'll be looking into a guestbook (won't that be fun?) and dedicating a page to every beauty contest entry AS WELL AS it's placement (even if it doesn't place in the top three). This is really just for the joy of organizing! I'd like to set up an email to chat with y'all, but none I've seen really fit what I'm looking for. The tumblr blog's asks are always open and available, however! I'm even up to responding with a drawing if requested/ permissable.
